Shamsa Saleh, Executive Director of the Dubai Women Foundation, said that the Foundation is led and supported by the wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance, President of the Dubai Foundation Women, recently launched pioneering initiatives to enhance women's economic participation, increase their participation in the labor market, and establish projects, in addition to specific initiatives and programs to help them overcome the effects of the "Covid-19" crisis, and highlight their efforts in facing this global health crisis, Which proved to be a bond for the homeland in all circumstances.

Saleh confirmed that the Foundation has kept pace with the state’s efforts in dealing with the challenges of the "Covid-19" crisis, with a focus on supporting women during it. Last April, the Foundation launched an awareness campaign on social media entitled #WomenHealTheWorld to highlight the efforts it is undertaking. Women in the UAE and the world in various fields and sectors, which represent the first line of defense to combat and limit the spread of the emerging "Corona" virus, as part of community cohesion in facing this global health threat, and an emphasis on their efforts at all times. During the initiative period, the role of Women in the medical, health, police and educational sectors, in addition to highlighting their role as a remote employee, and a housewife who takes care of the affairs of her children and family in these circumstances.

Shamsa Saleh explained that the Foundation cooperated with the Dubai Healthcare City Authority in implementing the “Pursue It” campaign, which was launched by the “Al Manal Humanitarian Initiative” last July, with the aim of providing psychological support for women and helping them overcome the effects of the “Covid-19” crisis and its repercussions on everyone, through Providing medical and psychological consultations by an elite of doctors, consultants and psychologists, and organizing inspirational sessions via the Internet, presented by four experts in self-development and personal skills, adding that this campaign met with wide positive reactions and resonance from all groups and segments of society, and from doctors who volunteered their effort and time To provide psychological and behavioral counseling, where they expressed their happiness at the opportunity provided by the initiative to support women, during this exceptional health condition.

She indicated that during the campaign period, 315 psychological support sessions were provided for girls and mothers by 14 consultants and specialists and five specialized clinics in Dubai Healthcare City, and seven inspirational sessions were provided by self-development and personal skills experts.

She added that with the aim of evaluating the remote work experience, which was applied during the Corona pandemic, and in line with its specializations in conducting studies and research related to women and proposing policies that support them, the Foundation launched an opinion poll for female employees in the government and private sectors in the Emirate of Dubai on the "experience of working remotely during a crisis." (Covid-19) », to learn about the challenges and benefits of this experiment, its impact and efficiency on female employees and the extent to which the remote work option can be applied continuously, according to certain controls and standards and the groups that can benefit from it.
