The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has announced that it has confirmed that 236 new people have been infected with the new coronavirus in Tokyo based on the preliminary figures as of 3:00 pm on the 26th. More than 200 confirmed daily infections have occurred since 23rd of this month.
Now the total number of confirmed infections in Tokyo is 19,846.
The Tokyo metropolitan government calls for refraining from traveling or returning home during the summer vacation, having dinner at night, and going out far, as the infection situation in Tokyo is extremely severe and the utmost caution is required.
