Transferring "Al Jalila Children's Culture" to the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, issued Law No. 8 of 2020 transferring the “Al Jalila Center for Child Culture” to the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai.

The law stipulates that the center will be transferred to the authority as of the date this law comes into force, as an organizational unit within its approved organizational structure pursuant to Executive Council Resolution No. 7 of 2017 regarding the approval of the organizational structure of the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai.

In accordance with the new law, all the tasks and specializations assigned to the Al Jalila Center for Child Culture are transferred to the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority according to Law No. 9 of 2013 and the legislation in force in the emirate, ownership of real estate, movables, assets, equipment, equipment and funds belonging to the center, as well as the center’s employees, and the financial allocations allocated to it in its annual budget. , Provided that the Authority replaces the Center in all of its rights and obligations, and the Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai issues the necessary decisions to implement the provisions of this law.

Law No. 9 of 2013 establishing the Al Jalila Center for Child Culture and its amendments, and Decree No. 31 of 2013 appointing the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Al Jalila Center for Child Culture are repealed. Any text in any other legislation is also canceled to the extent that it contradicts the provisions of this law, provided that the rules and regulations continue to work. And the decisions issued in implementation of Law No. 9 of 2013 regarding the center to the extent that they do not conflict with the provisions of Law No. 8 of 2020 referred to and the rules, decisions and regulations in force at the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai, until the issuance of the regulations, rules and decisions that replace them.
