7.49 am: MEPs call for bars and restaurants to be reopened

Guy Savoy's menu made you dream (see our post at 7:40 am)? Know that you are not alone. Several deputies, including the majority, called Tuesday evening for the reopening of bars and restaurants. And not just for fun. But to "save" this sector hard hit by the health crisis.

Since May 11, "the deconfinement has enabled a resumption of activity" but sectors are "still stalled, tourism, catering, culture", and "the emergency is there," launched Julien Aubert ( LR), during a debate undertaken by his group on "Deconfinement, what implementation after a week".

7.45 am: Containment extended until June 6 in El Salvador

The government of El Salvador extended the containment of the population until Tuesday June 6, with the aim of limiting the spread of the coronavirus epidemic.

The government decree allows Salvadorans to go shopping for food and to go to supermarkets and banks. El Salvador has 1,498 cases of coronavirus, for 30 deaths. Its population is estimated at just over 6 million inhabitants.
