Wednesday, six departments of the West will be classified as raw orange vigilance: Pas-de Calais, Seine-maritime, Eure, Vendée, Charente-maritime and Gironde, according to Météo-France forecasts published on Tuesday evening. In addition, the weather will be very contrasted between the North and the South, with a notable mildness of the temperatures.

A weakly active disturbance will park throughout the day from Brittany to Normandy and Nord-Pas de Calais, giving light rain under an overcast sky. These rains will be a little more marked at the end of the day. The sun will largely dominate from the south of Aquitaine to the Pyrenees and the Midi of Toulouse, from the Mediterranean rim to the Southern Alps, a little later in the day on the Massif Central and the Northern Alps.

Greyness

Between these two zones, the greyness will be well installed, sometimes giving drizzle or scattered rain then from mid-day, the precipitation will be more scarce, sunny spells will try to break through. Pockets of low clouds will cover the south shore of the Isle of Beauty. This greyness will spread to the entire Corsican coast then reach the Côte d'Azur during the day.

The Mistral and the Tramontane will quickly run out of steam in the morning but the southwest wind will remain significant along the Channel coasts, reaching 60 to 70 km / h, a little more during the following night in the most exposed areas.

At daybreak, the thermometer will display 6 to 10 degrees over the southern third of the country, 10 to 11 further north. The highest will be around 13 to 15 degrees in the northern half of the country, 16 to 20 in the south, up to 23 towards Nîmes, Arles or Perpignan.
