Police in Thailand revealed the details of a horrific murder targeting a Chinese couple, and they came to the country on a tourist trip, according to the British newspaper "Daily Mail".

The newspaper added that the perpetrators put the couple in two suitcases after they were tied while they were alive, and then threw them in the Ping River, central Thailand.

The body of 30-year-old Wang Jun, was found after a fisherman in the river noticed a black bag floating on the water.

Police said her divers continue to search for the man's 28-year-old wife, Zhou Ping, who is believed to have also been thrown into the river in the same way.

The couple arrived in Thailand earlier in February with a group of Chinese tourists, but they preferred to stay while the others returned to their country, prompting the villagers to kill them.

The autopsy concluded that the husband had died of drowning, but he was alive when he was put in the bag.

Police believe that at least 4 people were involved in the two murders.
