Daniel Sancho is accused of the murder of the Colombian Edwin Arrieta. The 29-year-old Spaniard has spent almost eight months in the prison on the Thai island of Samui.

He has been in a cell with up to 50 prisoners, practicing yoga, training Muay Thai (Thai boxing) and reading. The young Spaniard, who trained as a chef, lists some books that he has read during his imprisonment: The Count of Monte Cristas by Alexandre Dumas and Edgar Allan Poe.
