Nara Kofuku-ji Temple Bags of `` Fukuzu '' before Setsubun February 1 12:43

Ahead of the Setsubun on the 3rd, a package is being made at Kofuku-ji Temple in Nara City to pack beans used for sowing.

At Kofuku-ji Temple, the Oni Shiki ceremony is held every year on the night of Setsubun, in hopes of a one-year sickness, and worshipers are sown with lucky souvenirs.

One day, about 20 local women gather and work to pack beans that will be made into beans into paper bags.

In the work, nearly 100 kg of beans piled in a zaruya wooden box were scooped up in a cup and placed neatly in a bag.

There was also a bag with a candy ball instead of a weight so that you could fly it as far as you could.

Mr. Toshiyo Ito, chairman of Kofukuji Women's Association (82), said, "I'm worried about the spread of the new coronavirus, but I'm stuffing beans to pray for your health."

Kofuku-ji Temple's Onioi ceremony will be held from 6.30 pm on March 3 and approximately 3,000 bags of Fukuname will be distributed on the grounds.
