Torches used in traditional events at Todaiji Temple transported by train to the nearest station. It is said that this tradition has been going on for over 770 years.
Up until now, in addition to walking, buses and other means of transportation have been used, but due to the aging of the workers, this year, the train will be used to reach the station closest to Todiaji, compared to last year. The distance was reduced by about 7km, shortening the distance it would have to be carried on foot.
