"No. 110" Moe Oshikiri Calls for proper use of No. 110 January 10 16:38

On January 10, the 110th day, Moe Oshikiri, a model from Chiba Prefecture, served as Chief of the One-Day Communication Command Section in Chiba Prefecture, calling for the proper use of the 110th day.

On the 10th, at a commercial facility in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture, an event calling for the use of the appropriate number 110 was held, and Moe Oshikiri, a model from Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, appeared as the Chief of the One-day Communication Command Section.

Mr. Oshikiri, wearing a police officer's uniform, called on shoppers to call "# 9110", a consultation-only telephone, for non-urgent consultations other than accidents.

Mr. Oshikiri said, "For non-urgent calls, we have been working hard to get a phone call for consultation, so I hope we can spread it properly."

According to police, in Chiba Prefecture, there were over 637,000 110 calls in the past year, of which more than 14%, more than 20%, were mischief or silent calls.

Inspector Keiji Okuda of Chiba Prefectural Police Headquarters Communications Command Division said, "I would be glad if you could let us know about the more appropriate use of the 110 call on the 110th day."
