The German Travel Medicine Center has warned of measles outbreaks in some countries such as Thailand, Ukraine, New Zealand, Nigeria and the Congo.

To avoid the risk of infection, the center stressed the need to receive measles vaccination at least 15 days before traveling.

The center pointed out that measles is not confined to children only, but it also attacks adults, explaining that it is transmitted from person to person through sneezing, coughing and mixing with patients, the symptoms of which are rashes, redness of the skin and fever.
