"Being named the world's best airport for the seventh year in a row is a great achievement for Changi Airport," said Edward Plaisted, Skytrax's CEO. "This award underlines the popularity of international air travelers."

Changi Airport is also ahead in 2 out of the 40 categories reviewed: Crowne Plaza is considered by passengers to be the best airport hotel in the world, and they also consider Singapore top in terms of leisure facilities. After all, there are, among other things, three spas, a roof terrace with over one hundred cactus species and two cinemas, which are open around the clock.

Hamad in Doha (4) and Hong Kong (5) exchanged places as well as Nagoya (6) and Munich (7th) ). Overall, the major German airports were well received by passengers: Frankfurt (12th), Cologne / Bonn (25), Hamburg (28), Düsseldorf (31). Vienna came 19th.

In order to identify the best airports in the world, Skytrax asks almost 40 aspects for passengers from more than a hundred countries - from airport accessibility to the language skills of airport staff. The survey is small-scale and designed for comfort and service.
