Results show that the ratio of women is particularly low in the field of politics. Tokyo has the smallest gender gap at 0.352, followed by Kanagawa and Chiba.

On the other hand, Yamanashi Prefecture had the largest gender gap. Kagoshima Prefecture improved its ranking in politics from 46th place last year to 36th place. The number of female candidates in this election was 12, five more than in the previous election, and the highest number ever. The Diet said there are more voices expressing expectations for women to play an active role in politics.
