Sun is initially hiding in large parts of the country, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Sunday. Only from Saxony to the Baltic Sea are there longer sunny phases, while the south gets rain.

The temperature differences on Monday are correspondingly large: a maximum of 4 degrees is likely to be reached on Rügen, and up to 16 degrees are possible in Breisgau. At night there will still be widespread frost-free conditions in the south and west, while in the northeast some night frost can be expected with temperatures between zero and minus four degrees.
