Vladimir Petkovic is the new coach of the Algerian national football team. He replaces Djamel Belmadi who left office after the failure at the CAN.
The new coach's objectives are to qualify for CAN 2025 and the 2026 World Cup. He will start next month in two friendly matches at home: against Bolivia (March 22) and South Africa ( March 26). The Swiss, former coach of Bordeaux, will not have it easy. He takes up a selection in full doubt.
