Unknown people beat up tram drivers in Essen. A total of four people are said to have become violent.
The driver of line 103 had to stop briefly and get out because a shopping cart was on the tracks. When the 31-year-old got back on his tram, an unknown person suddenly sat in the driver's seat. The stranger insulted him and spat at him. Then he and three other men hit the driver so that he fell to the ground. The group kicked the man lying on the ground several times and then fled.
