Two sales companies arrested on suspicion of false documents for exporting apples, no charges filed, Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office. Two employees of Sun Fresh Japan, a fruit export sales company in Ota Ward, Tokyo, were accused of submitting false documents claiming that apples from Aomori Prefecture were packaged for export when they were exported to Thailand the year before.
The company was arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department in January and February this year. The president of the company held a press conference in Tokyo, during which they stated that they believed the products were for export, they were actually for domestic use.
