In order to resolve the serious shortage of teachers, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology is targeting those who have completed practical training at teaching graduate schools. The program will start with the recruitment exams in the new academic year, and if the students are hired as full-time teachers at either public or private schools, they will be exempt from having to repay the scholarships they borrowed for graduate school.
The draft policy was approved unanimously at a subcommittee of the Central Council for Education held on the 19th.
