Three caregivers arrested on suspicion of attempted insurance fraud by feigning car and bicycle accidents. Caregivers in Adachi Ward, Tokyo, were accused of trying to defraud approximately 16 million yen in insurance money in the name of repair costs.
Koji Takahashi (47), a caregiver, and Mikiharu Yamauchi (33), a company employee, all of whom live in Tokyo's Adachi ward. In response to the investigation, Takahash denied the charges, saying, ''It was a real accident.''
