The exhibition is the first large-scale exhibition in the country to bring together the five major civilizations of early China. It focuses on four Tuyi sites such as Liangzhu in Yuhang, Zhejiang, Xiangfen Taotao Temple in Shanxi, Shenmu Shiji in Shaanxi, and Erlitou in Yanshi.

Among them, the discovery and establishment of the Hongshan culture pushed the history of the Neolithic period in northern China forward by 3000 years.
