Linfen, May 5 (Zhongxin Net) -- On May 19, International Museum Day, "Civilization Formation - A Joint Exhibition of Early Chinese Civilization Capital" was launched at the Linfen City Museum in Shanxi Province. The exhibition is the first large-scale exhibition in the country to bring together the five major civilizations of early China.

Exploring the source of Chinese civilization, focusing on four Tuyi sites such as Liangzhu in Yuhang, Zhejiang, Xiangfen Taotao Temple in Shanxi, Shenmu Shiji in Shaanxi, and Erlitou in Yanshi in Henan, as well as other central sites in the Yellow River Basin, Yangtze River Basin and Liao River Basin, key archaeological excavations and multidisciplinary comprehensive research have been carried out, forming the Hongshan culture, Liangzhu culture, Taosi culture, Shiji culture and Erlitou culture, which is a typical representative of the origin, formation and early development process of Chinese civilization.

Among them, the discovery and establishment of the Hongshan culture pushed the history of the Neolithic period in northern China forward by 3000,<> years; The Liangzhu site is one of the areas with the largest scale and level of empirical evidence of China's <>,<>-year civilization history, and its great value is constantly revealed. The Tao Temple embodied a glorious capital, and the basic appearance of the royal power system and the early state appeared, which became the earliest empirical evidence of the Yellow River Basin entering the early civilization society.

More than 4000,<> years ago, a highly complex social civilization was formed in the Hetao area centered on the Shiji site, and it has entered the stage of development of the early country.

In addition, the palace castle at the site of Erlitou is the earliest capital site with a clear plan and the construction regulations of the ancient Chinese capital in the later generations, known as the "first royal capital of China".

The exhibition will run until August 8 through five sections, showcasing the richness and far-reaching influence of the five early Chinese civilizations.

This exhibition is guided by the Shanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Linfen Municipal Committee and the Linfen Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, organized by the Linfen Museum, and co-organized by the Ao Hanqi Museum, Liangzhu Museum, the Tao Temple Archaeological Team of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Shaanxi Archaeological Research Institute, and the Erlitou Xia Du Site Museum.
