The displaced people in Khan Yunis try to break their reality by organizing simple Ramadan parties. Women, children, and men sit by the lights of flashlights to chant prophetic praises and folkloric Ramadan songs, to create a Ramadan atmosphere in the midst of war.

One of the displaced women said that Tarawih prayers and these simple parties took away some of their lives, while another said that they are trying to alleviate the burden of reality, because they love life. The displaced people used to hold parties throughout the month during the past years, unlike what they are doing now.
