Test results for textbooks used in junior high schools will be announced from April next year. 97 out of 100 junior high school textbooks contained two-dimensional codes "QR codes" that lead to digital teaching materials.
The number has increased approximately 1.7 times since the previous test in 2019. The textbooks that passed the exam will be adopted by local boards of education this summer, and will be used inJunior high schools nationwide from April 2019. The invasion of Ukraine was mentioned in 19 subjects including all civics textbooks. Major League baseball player Shohei Otani appeared in five subjects.
