On the 22nd, a council on textbook certification by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology was held, and 101 of the 104 textbooks submitted for this certification, including 103 for junior high schools and 1 for high schools, were approved based on the opinion of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. In addition, the invasion of Ukraine was mentioned in 19 subjects including all civics textbooks, the Children and Families Agency and children's rights were mentioned in many subjects, and Major League baseball player Shohei Otani appeared in five subjects. did.



On the other hand, in this exam, one item in junior high school technology was not passed, and two items in junior high school history textbooks were marked as ``incomplete'' with no determination of pass or fail because ``examination procedures require close examination.'' . The textbooks that passed the exam will be adopted by local boards of education this summer, and will be used in junior high schools nationwide from April next year.
