SPD politician Chebli receives 5,000 euros in compensation after hateful comments. The money will go to the HateAid organization, said the former Berlin State Secretary.
The judgment of January 16th is not yet legally binding (ref.: 27 O 343/22). The SPD politician had sued because of an online comment from 2021. It said she should be “disposed of, in the words of Alexander Gauland’s” From the regional court's point of view, this is "shameful criticism that encroaches on the plaintiff's dignity"
