The Kumamoto Prefecture Citizen Honor Award will be presented to singer Aki Yashiro. The singer passed away in December last year at the age of 73.

Governor Kabashima said he won the Japan Record Award for singing many famous songs with rich expression and emotional singing ability. He worked diligently to provide disaster relief during the Kumamoto Earthquake and the heavy rain disaster in July 2020, he said. The Prefectural Honor Award is ready and will be delivered to the representative of the agency to which it belongs.
