Sigmaringen: Postal delivery worker hoards thousands of letters. A caretaker found two bags of stamped letters in a basement hallway and alerted the police.
It is unclear why the postal carrier decided to no longer deliver the letters but simply collect them at his home. The man is now being investigated because he is said to have violated postal and telecommunications secrecy, as police in Ravensburg and the Hechingen public prosecutor's office explained. The case is still under investigation, police said.
