A 16-year-old died as a pedestrian on Autobahn 36 in Saxony-Anhalt. The driver of an approaching car braked heavily but was no longer able to avoid the collision.
The force of the impact threw the young man into the left lane. He died from his serious injuries at the scene of the accident. The accident happened around 4:40 p.m. and the A36 in the direction of Bernburg was closed until late in the evening. According to the police, there were significant traffic delays.
