Sarunosuke Ichikawa was found collapsed with his parents at his home in Tokyo's Meguro Ward on May 18. His parents were later confirmed dead.
Sarunosuke was scheduled to appear in the daytime portion of "June Grand Kabuki" at the Kabuki-za Theatre in Tokyo next month. The role of "Otoku" in "Sunjo Anti-Soul Incense" will be changed to young kabuki actor Ichitaro Nakamura. Shochiku stated, "It is very distressing that we are unable to provide sufficient explanations due to various reports currently being made"
