Regarding Kabuki actor Sarunosuke Ichikawa, who was found collapsed with his parents at home, Shochiku announced that next month's Kabuki-za performance, in which he was scheduled to appear, will be performed with a different cast.

Sarunosuke Ichikawa was found collapsed with his parents at his home in Tokyo's Meguro Ward on May 18, and his parents were later confirmed dead.

Sarunosuke was scheduled to appear in the daytime portion of "June Grand Kabuki" at the Kabuki-za Theatre in Tokyo next month, but Shochiku announced on the company's website on the 24th that Sarunosuke would be absent from the performance because "we judge it difficult to appear in next month's performance at this time."

The role of "Otoku" in "Sunjo Anti-Soul Incense", which Sarunosuke was scheduled to play, will be changed to young kabuki actor Ichitaro Nakamura.

The performance of "June Grand Kabuki" will be held from the 3rd to the 25th of next month.

In addition, we will inform you again about the outlook for "July Grand Kabuki" in which Mr. Sarunosuke is scheduled to appear.

Shochiku stated, "It is very distressing that we are unable to provide sufficient explanations due to various reports currently being made," and will continue to refrain from commenting while the situation is still being clarified.
