The RTVE Corporation has asked Twitter to withdraw the label half financed by the Government. The Corporation reiterates "editorial independence" as one of its "hallmarks" Twitter explains that "government-funded media" are defined as media outlets that are partially or fully funded by the government and that exhibit varying degrees of government involvement in editorial content.

"We hope that this request will be addressed as soon as possible," concludes the public entity. "RTVE is a public media that is financed through an allocation of the general budgets approved by parliament," says the Corporation.
