In the Ikoma Highlands, which stretch out at the foot of the Kirishima mountain range, about 25,2 poppies are planted. A new nemophila area with clear blue flowers was newly established, and many parents and children who visited during the long holidays took pictures of the flowers that were in full bloom.

There are two types of poppy, the "California Poppy" whose flower shape looks diamond-shaped, and the "Icelandic Poppy," with thin petals.
