Police catch man with 40 kilograms of wild garlic in the Hameln. The 30-year-old is now facing proceedings for violating the Federal Nature Conservation Act.

Picking herbs and wild plants from non-protected areas is only permitted in small quantities and exclusively for personal use. At 40 kilograms it was no longer a small amount, the police said. The officials suspected there was a commercial background to the processing of the wild garlic. The driver stated that he had picked the wild Garlic for his own use.
