A Jordanian citizen caused widespread political and social controversy in Israel. The reason for this is that this citizen opened a restaurant called “7th of October.” Some believed that the restaurant that opened in Karak Governorate - southern Jordan - came in commemoration of the day on which the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) launched its attack on the towns surrounding Gaza.
But politicians in Israel criticized this step taken by the Jordanian citizen and called for an end to what they called the “disgraceful glorification” of the events of October 7.
