Many suspects in special fraud based in the Philippines were arrested and entered the country about a month ago. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the group's entry into the country.
Four years ago in February, eight Japanese people in their 20s to 30s were arrested by local investigative authorities at a hotel in Laguna Province in the northern Philippines. Until they were detained by local authorities a month later, the eight people lived in a hotel and repeatedly made false phone calls claiming that they were behind on their bills.
