In a case in which eight Japanese suspects who had been detained in the Philippines were arrested for making special fraudulent phone calls to Japan from there, many of the suspects were sent to the Philippines one after another for about a month before their arrest. It was discovered through an interview with the police that he had entered the country. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the group's entry into the country.

Four years ago in February, eight Japanese people in their 20s to 30s were arrested by local investigative authorities at a hotel in Laguna Province in the northern Philippines. He was transported by plane to Kanagawa Prefectural Police Headquarters and arrested.



Police have not revealed whether he admitted the crime or not.

Police are conducting an investigation and have seized more than 300 pieces of evidence, including phones, computers, and manuals containing information on how to commit fraud.



Subsequent interviews with police revealed that many of the suspects had entered the Philippines one after another since January four years ago.



Until they were detained by local authorities a month later, the eight people lived in a hotel and repeatedly made false phone calls claiming that they were behind on their bills, defrauding mainly elderly people of tens of millions of yen. There is a suspicion that
