Thieves steal hour and minute hands from church clocks in Kerken, North Rhine-Westphalia. Thieves reached the tower clocks via scaffolding in front of the St.
Peter and Paul Church. The church with its 63-metre-high steeple, which was built in 1890, is currently being restored. The stolen hour hands are said to have been made of metal, the exact weight is not known. A predecessor of today's parish church was built as early as the 15th century.
