Kenya: Cult leader Mackenzie accused of murdering 191 children. All of the accused denied the allegations in a court in the coastal town of Malindi.
One suspect was declared unfit to stand trial. Investigators believe Mackenzie ordered his followers to starve themselves and their children to death. So they were supposed to go to heaven before the world ended. More than 400 bodies have been exhumed from a remote forest on the Kenyan coast. He had previously been charged with, among other things, torture and terrorism.
