In connection with the issue that former executives of Kansai Electric Power Co. received money and goods from a former assistant in Takahama Town, Fukui Prefecture, individual shareholders on the 19th filed a lawsuit against the former chairman and five others.

The shareholders claimed that the former assistant had ordered construction work at an unreasonably high price and caused damage to the company, and demanded payment of more than 5.87 billion yen. The company's compliance committee pointed out last year that there were compliance violations.
