One of the last four fugitives wanted for their role in the genocide of the Tutsi in Rwanda in 1994 was arrested Wednesday in South Africa. Germany committed another genocide, that of the Herero and Nama, in its former colonies in Namibia.

Between 1904 and 1908, after a revolt, German soldiers opened the first concentration camps and exterminated at least 60,000 herero and 10,000 Nama. A film directed by a German filmmaker is currently bringing this colonial story to the screen to confront the Germans.
