Al-Qibli Mosque is the main prayer hall in Al-Aqsa Mosque, where the Friday sermon is delivered and prayers are held. It is a roofed building topped with a lead dome, and is located to the south of the mosque, facing the Qibla.

Over the centuries, the Al- Qibli Mosque was rebuilt and restored as a result of natural factors and earthquakes. In recent years, the mosque has turned into a point of confrontation with the occupation forces, who storm it during the month of Ramadan to expel worshipers.
