Taylor Swift is said to be the cousin of one of America's most famous poets. Emily Dickinson (1830 to 1886) wrote more than 1,700 poems in her life.
Swift's ninth studio album was announced on December 10, 2020, Dickinson's birthday. According to some Swifties, the album title “Evermore” could also be a homage to Dickinson. Swift said, "If my lyrics sound like a letter written by Emily Dickinson's great-grandmother while sewing a lace curtain, then I'm writing in the quill genre"
