[HIGHLIGHTS] Hamburg: US Consulate General becomes a hotel

Former US Consulate General on the Outer Alster in Hamburg is to become a hotel. The hotel will be called “The Jefferson’ and the purchase price for the property will be around 17 million euros.

A restaurant including a bar will also move into the building. The Americans officially opened the new consulate general in HafenCity in the summer of 2022. The Derag (German Real Estate Group) with headquarters in Munich includes the Living Hotels with currently 18 hotels in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Nuremberg, Munich and Frankfurt.
