Hama Sushi's parent company goes to court seeking compensation for damages Kappa Sushi is willing to fight. The parent company of Hamazushi has been awarded 500 million yen over an incident in which the operating company of the conveyor belt sushi chain "Kappa Sushi" allegedly fraudulently used confidential business data from rival Hamaz sushi.

Kappa Create, which operates Kappa S sushi, was charged with violating the Unfair Competition Prevention Act. He was sentenced to a fine of 30 million yen and is currently appealing.
