The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has revealed the original draft of hay fever countermeasures that the government is considering. In 10 years, we will reduce the number of artificial cedar forests by about 2%, and aim to halve the amount of pollen generated in 30 years.

The contents of these hay fevercountermeasures are expected to be finalized among the government and the ruling parties and announced soon. The government plans to replant cedar seedlings with low pollen and tree species other than cedar, and more than 30% of cedar sapling production will be pollen-free.
