Hainan’s passenger volume reached a new high this year during the Spring Festival travel season with nearly 9 million passengers. Among them, more than 4.896 million passengers and 1.136 million vehicles crossed the Qiongzhou Strait, a year-on-year increase of 20.8% and 10.7% respectively.

There have been no water traffic safety accidents above the general level in Hainan's jurisdiction, achieving zero casualties, zero water pollution, and smooth and orderly water traffic.
