[HIGHLIGHTS] Gustavo Dudamel resigns as music director of the Paris Opera to "spend more time with my family"

Gustavo Dudamel will leave the Paris Opera at the end of the current season. He will join the New York Philharmonic for a period of six years.

"It has been a privilege to share such beautiful moments," he says. "I have no other projects than to be with my family," he adds. "They are the most important people in my life," says Dudamel, who is married to Spanish actress María Gómez. The pair have been married for more than 20 years.
