Fukui City junior high school holiday extracurricular activities expected to be abolished in principle by the end of 2025. School extracarricular activities are being reviewed because they lead to long working hours for teachers.
For the 2026 school year, Saturday and Sunday activities will be allowed at each school's discretion until the final competition for third-year students is over. Activities during subsequent holidays will be moved to the local community, such as by encouraging participation in local teams and organizations, and the necessary expenses will be covered by support measures.
