A forest fire on a former military training area in Brandenburg has been blazing for days. Because of old ammunition in the ground, extinguishing the fire is difficult.
A firefighter's drone is intended to remedy the situation. Area affected by fire is larger than 450 football pitches. The fire is expected to reach a fire strip in the course of Tuesday, according to the local public order office. The drone can't extinguish itself – it's simply too small for that. It's intended to provide firefighters with a better overview.
