First trial of Vice Minister of Justice Mizuaki Kakizawa at Tokyo District Court on February 14th. He is charged with bribery, a violation of the Public Offices Elections Act, for posting paid advertisements on the Internet calling for votes for former Ward Mayor Yayoi Kimura.
The Tokyo District court has decided to hold the first trial in this case from 10am on the 14th of this month. Three Koto Ward assemblymen who were indicted for accepting 200,000 yen in cash have also indicated that they intend to fight the charges in court.
